The Plan of Salvation
Acts 4:12 - "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
The Problem: SEPERATION FROM GOD
Rom 3:23.For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
This means that everyone since Adam and Eve inherited a sinful nature that disqualifies them from going to heaven. Little Children's first words are often "no" "mine" - born with the tendency to be selfish and rebellious.
The Results: SPIRITUAL DEATH
Rom 6:23.For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God is holy and just, which means that He can not tolerate sin except through just punishment - the penalty for sin is death and eternal judgment.
God's Solution: HIS DEATH IN OUR PLACE
Rom 5:8.But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
This is what John the Baptizer alluded to when he said of Christ, "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world." Jesus - God in the flesh - was the only acceptable sacrifice for our sinful condition. (Man sinned and only a man not stained with sin could pay man's debt.)
Your Salvation: BY FAITH
Rom 10:9.That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Faith - is believing from your heart, not just your head - It is trusting with your life.
Rom 10:13.For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If you sincerely ask God to forgive you of your sins and ask Him to save you, - He will!!!
Rom 5:1.Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Your Invitation: You must RECEIVE HIM Through PRAYER
Dear Jesus, I agree that I am a sinner and I need you to save me from eternal judgment. I believe that you are God's Son, that you died in my place and paid the ultimate penalty for my sin. I believe that God accepted your sacrifice for me which is proved through your bodily resurrection. I repent of my sin and cast myself on your mercy, asking you to come in and make me a new creation - give me a new heart and new desires. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen.
